Construction of markets was initially not part of the 24 hour agenda of the NDC in opposition.
Yhe NDC had the idea of turning existing state control agencies , Ministries and departments into 24 hour operations so they could operate on 24 hour basis in a bid to create jobs for the people since that would require the recruitment of more people to provide 8 hour routine services .
That’s what they called 1.3.3 shift. They also promised to provide affordable, if not cheap electricity to existing industries and factories so they could operate 24 hour business and employ more people . The NDC Also promised to provide tax incentives and tax cuts for industries to facilitate 24 hour economy programme
Unfortunately, the NDC govt in power has failed to fulfil its gargantuan promises . Though Financial and economic experts admonished that the 24
hour economy system is demand driven they didn’t listen. Now they are stuck in their own failure.
Interestingly, they have not diverted and shifted their attention to constructing their so called overly ambitious 24 hour economy in the 261 districts . What are the reasons . According to spiritualists , they would perform some rituals on the land meant for the 24 hour market and use the land as a sacrificial alter. After the market is built, and begins operations, spiritualists claim that any human being that would step foot in the market would have his or her mind twisted towards sympathising , empathising and loving the NDC .
They woukd love , be loyal and vote for the NDC for no reason .c. Already , sources say the sacrifices have began and woukd be done continuously till the 2028 general elections and afterwards.
