The campaign team of Dr Bawumia have expressed great shock at the behaviour and character displayed by Kennedy Agyapong in the run up to the Npp’s 31st January Flagbearer primaries .
In a statement signed by Opare Ansah, National campaign Manager and Nana Akomea, Chairman of Campaign Communications, The campaign team has described Kennedy Agyepon as rather the peddler of lies who lacks integrity.
Kennedy Agyapong has in the last week made allegations against Dr Bawumia, that Dr Bawumia had made untruthful statements about Professor Adu Boahen’s participation and performance in the 1996 Npp flagbearer elections. On the basis of his assertions, Kennedy Agyepon went out to describe Bawumia as a liar and an untrustworthy man, and urged Npp delegates not to vote for Bawumia.
It has turned out however that Bawumia never made the statements attributed to him by Kennedy Agyapong.
Even though Kennedy Agyapong’s attention has been drawn to his falsehood, he has steadfastly refused to even acknowledge his false statements about bawumia and apologise to Bawumia.
The Bawumia’s campaign team finds this attitude of Ken Agyapong as shocking and lacking integrity.
They have described Kennedy Agyapong as rather being the liar, who lacks integrity and has no shame.
The campaign team has urged Npp delegates to consider this character of Kennedy Agyapong and reject him massively at the polls on Saturday
