Exposed: Seidu Agongo’s Company, Onassis Sports Received a MONOPOLY LICENSE from Sammi Awuku’s Administration in 2024 to Operate NLA Caritas Lottery

Seidu Agongo’s Company is Exclusively Responsible for Operating NLA Caritas Lottery since 2024 Yet he still not satisfied, chasing for 5/90 USSD/Mobile lotto simply because his party, NDC is in power. However,

It’s a fact that the NPP government under Sammi Awuku, as Director General of the NLA, gave a license to Seidu Agongo’s company known as Onassis Sports Limited to operate NLA Caritas Lottery Platform, and absolutely no one raise an objection to it, and also KGL NEVER expressed an interest to invade the Caritas lottery business being run by Seidu Agongo’s company from Akufo-Addo’s government till now, and will never do such undermining because KGL as a responsible company duly respect the juridictional boundaries of licenses issued to companies.

Envy, jealousy, and covetousness don’t win in this lottery industry. Stay in your Caritas lottery lane, pay your workers well, invest into marketing and technology, and you shall definitely do well by the Grace of God.

If Seidu Agongo is truly a smart businesssperson and sincerely understand the lottery business, he can definitely create a Mega Fortune out of the Caritas Lottery business license that was given to him by Sammi Awuku under the NPP government by attracting the entire corporate Ghana including even KGL Group to participate in the Caritas Lottery activities, and that is how big the Caritas lottery operation is.

Caritas Lottery is of the biggest flagship product of the National Lottery Authority, and with the right technology and marketing, Seidu Agongo will never try to invade the territory of KGL because he can be extremely successful with the operations of the Caritas Lottery Platform.

The Monopoly-Nonsense Argument Put Forward by some lovers of Seidu Agongo

Apart from Onassis Sports Limited owned by Seidu Agongo, how many companies have been licensed by the NLA to operate NLA Caritas Lottery Platform?

If Seidu Agongo’s company is the ONLY company licensed by the NLA to operate NLA Caritas Lottery Platform then does it make sense for the lovers of Seidu Agongo and Seidu Agongo himself to say that KGL is enjoying the monopoly of NLA 5/90 USSD/Mobile Lotto?

There is no monopoly at the NLA because Seidu Agongo’ company too has been enjoying exclusivity of Caritas lottery business, given to him by Sammi Awuku when he was the Director-General at NLA.

Seidu Agongo’s company started the test-run(pilotting) in 2024 and commenced full operation in 2024.

No one prevented Seidu Agongo from doing what KGL is currently doing when the NDC was in power from 1992-2000 and 2009-2016 whereby KGL was absolutely and completely NON-EXISTENT.

When KGL went to the NLA to do business with the Authority in 2019, NO ONE or Company has submitted business proposal or has even apply to run the NLA 5/90 USSD/Mobile App because the Entrepreneurs in the lottery industry KNEW how DIFFICULT and CAPITAL INTENSIVE to run and sustain such a lottery business model, and also how NLA in partnership with Collaborators woefully FAILED to sustain similar projects in 2008(MOBI GAME 2 SURE), and 2015 (MOBILE 5/90, and SOCCER CASH).

Jealous and Envy people ONLY became interested to do what KGL is currently doing when they SAW the success stories of KGL without considering the struggles, and incurred debts to sustain the business.

The first people to opposed and undermined KGL were some elements in the NPP more especially during 2021, one of the worst periods of KGL and it is being sustained under the NDC too by some Lovers of Seidu Agongo and allegedly Seidu Agongo himself.

It does not make sense for a businessman to fight or undermine another businessman simply because his party is in Power at the moment but who said political parties can forever remain in power?

Who authorized Onassis Sports Limited owned by Seidu Agongo to operate 5/90 USSD Lotto using *859# without approval from NLA?, how much revenue was generated for NLA?, and how much was paid as Corporate Income Tax(CIT) to GRA during the period of operation of *859#?
