Kwabena Agyepong Calls for Unity with passion and Purpose

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspirant Kwabena Agyepong has urged party members to unite and reconnect with the party’s founding ideals, saying the path back to power depends on rebuilding public trust and strengthening grassroots structures.

Speaking after the conclusion of the presidential primary, Agyepong said the moment presented an opportunity for renewal rather than division.

“We have a wonderful opportunity to restore the values that animated the formation of this solid party, the NPP,” he said.

He aligned himself with calls for unity from fellow aspirants and appealed for coordinated work across all levels of the party.

“Right from the polling stations up to the top, let’s work together with a passion and a purpose for the people of Ghana.”

Agyepong also highlighted the NPP’s historical role in safeguarding Ghana’s democracy, urging members to draw inspiration from the party’s tradition.

“We can be proud of our forebears that our tradition is the tradition that is responsible for the sustenance of democracy in our country,” he said.

Expressing confidence in the party’s electoral chances, he added: “I am confident that we will earn the trust of Ghanaians. We will earn the confidence of Ghanaians. And in 2028, the elephant will be back.”

His remarks form part of broader reconciliation efforts within the party as defeated contenders line up behind the newly elected flagbearer ahead of the next national campaign.
