George William Ansong Retires From Active Football to Coaching

Liberty Professional skipper George William Ansong has announced his walkout from active football after two decades of active football for Liberty Professionals Football Club.
George who was scouted by Liberty Professional at age 16 and rose through the ranks of the ‘scientific Soccer lads’ club has now shifted his attention to coaching.
He made his debut in the senior side in the 2016/17 of the Ghans Premier league, he made total of 26 appearances for Liberty scoring 4 goals.

When Liberty was demoted to Division one he made 15 appearances and scored 12 goals before the change of name to Hohoe FC.
In an interview, George stated that he has no love on the field of play but off the field of play and i want to contribute to that with my experience over the years.
‘ i have no love for the game anymore, i want to help the up-and-coming ones so i have switched to coaching still with Liberty Professional Academy as an Assistant coach.
I would like to thank each and every one who helped me in my football career, its not over yet, I may become the next Mourinho or Pep Guardiola.

He added that, ‘ I have started my badges in coaching and am still with Liberty so let see with God all things are possible’.
