Mr. Albert Opoku, Principal, Sampa Nursing Training College in the Bono Region, has added another laurel to his credentials.
He has won an award Ministry of Health’s Nursing and Midwifery 5th Excellence and Hall of Fame Awards 2025, which took place at Global Dream Hotel, Tamale.
Mr. Albert Opoku, who is a researcher and co-author of numerous articles, such as “Strategies for Corrective Misinformation about Vaccination and Increasing Coverage: Relevance for Health Education” published in the British Journal of Healthcare and Medical Research, Vol-12 (04). 309-316,
Won the “Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Excellence Award” at the event, which celebrated health professionals in Ghana.
Speaking to in an interview, Mr. Albert Opoku disclosed research is very vital across all disciplines, stressing that research generates knowledge to aid in the impaction of students, especially the health sector, as well as the delivery of patients’ care.
Hence, the Principal entreated all and sundry to indulge in research.
