Kojo Choi, formerly Choi Seung Eub, a Korean-born entrepreneur who became Ghanaian through years of investment and cultural engagement, has just been appointed Ghana’s ambassador to South Korea. Choi moved to Ghana at early age pursuing education in the country’s public schools. He is known for leading the fintech company PaySwitch and promoting the arts in Ghana. This isn’t his first diplomatic role. Back in 2018, Choi served as deputy head of mission for the Ghanaian delegation during the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, donating thousands of dollars to support Ghana’s only athlete at the event.
